Our Story: Engineer-Led Since 2019

Evolution Cooling was founded in 2019 by refrigeration engineers who had spent their careers on the tools for larger companies. We are based at Pearsall Drive Industrial Estate in Oldbury, West Midlands, and our engineers maintain, repair and install industrial process chillers for manufacturers across the West and East Midlands, with support for larger projects and planned contracts UK-wide.

Between us we have over 130 years of hands-on refrigeration and process cooling experience. We service all major chiller makes, not just the ones we supply, and we run emergency breakdown and planned maintenance services alongside chiller sales, hire and installation. With 23 years’ experience in the industry Anthony has worked his way up through the ranks with various large refrigeration companies. This gave him the knowledge & experience to begin the Evolution Cooling Journey. Co-founding the company in 2019, He loves a challenge. Anthony is a keen runner and loves music and campervans.

With a varied background in HR, recruitment, payroll and accounts - Sophie ensures we remain organised and deliver great service. Personally she loves a good crime documentary and is a lover of lists and spreadsheets.

Paul Rushe

With a solid 25 years in the industry, Paul's expertise spans various sectors. His mechanical and installation background adds a unique skill set to Evolution Cooling, broadening our capabilities. Outside of work, he coaches an under-16 national basketball team and enjoys some downtime fishing.

David Rock

Founded the company in 2019, worked in the industry since 2011, trained & worked on the tools across the UK for leading manufacturers. Likes to get involved with all aspects of the company. Family man, Football fan, enjoys playing golf and loves a cheeky festival.

Chris Elmore

With 15 years’ experience in HVAC both internally & externally, Chris understands the trade in detail from both a sales and technical perspective. He enjoys getting to the root of the problem and finding the perfect solution. Outside of work, Chris likes socialising and enjoys football – he’s sadly a big Leeds United fan but hey, we can’t all be perfect.

Charlie Rushe

Charlie joined Evolution Cooling in 2024 and is now in the third year of his apprenticeship. Hard-working and eager to learn, he has been nominated by his college to compete in apprenticeship skills competitions, so we're clearly not the only ones impressed. Outside of work, Charlie is a keen basketball player and spends most of his spare time on the court or at the gym.

Paul Denston

25 years in the industry. His mum got him his first job in the air conditioning industry where she worked as a bookkeeper... she has a lot to answer for. Worked all over the world fixing chillers. Ghana, Belgium, Italy, Birmingham. Likes a wiring diagram...Loves a Dad joke.

East Midlands Manager

Andrew Turton

Andy has been working in the refrigeration trade for 27 years, giving him an expert knowledge of all aspects within the industry. Specialising in process cooling, Andy takes pride in his hands-on approach to his work, and excellent relationship building skills with both clients and fellow co-workers. Andy loves running, gym classes, ballet, walking and exploring with the dog.

Sarah Eddy

With a background in logistics and operations, Sarah knows how to keep things moving and make sure the right people and parts are in the right place at the right time. Outside of work she loves a good film, is a regular at the gym and has a real passion for doing eyebrows, so we're expecting the best brows in refrigeration.

Our Accreditations and Memberships

Evolution Cooling holds the certifications and memberships that industrial cooling customers, procurement teams and auditors look for:

REFCOM F-Gas certificated, certificate number REF1016890: certified to handle fluorinated refrigerants, carry out leak checks and keep the records the F-Gas Regulations require. All of our engineers are fully F-Gas qualified.
SafeContractor approved: our health and safety management has been independently assessed, so we can be accepted onto site by most facilities and procurement teams.
Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) member: keeping our engineers current with industry standards, refrigerant developments and best practice.
SIBA International Brewing Member: we work with independent breweries on glycol systems, fermentation cooling and cold stores.
PlastikCity partner: supplying and maintaining process cooling for injection moulding, extrusion and wider plastics processing.
