        What size water chiller do I need?

        We Calculate your load by the following formula:

        Flow rate (l/s) x (diff between inlet temp and outlet temp ) x 4.2 kJ/kg (specific heat capacity f water) 

        Eg:  2.34 x 5 deg c  x 4.2

               Chiller size required is 49.1 kW

        What Kw capacity water chiller do I need?

        To calculate the Duty required we need:

        1. specific heat capacity of the product
        2. weights of product
        3. start temperature of the product
        4. end temperature of the product
        How to size a glycol chiller for my brewery?

        Add up the volume of the fermentation vessels that need to be crash-cooled. 

        Work out the start temp, end temp (deg c) and period of time to achieve the crash cool

        Rule of thumb – allow 1.3 kw per BBL (eg 8 BBL = chiller capacity 10.4 kW)

        What is the ideal chiller size?

        How do I choose the right process chiller for me?

        You need to consider ideal temperatures to operate efficiently. Consider the pump size and flow rates to cool your process.

        What size chiller does my injection moulding machine need?

        Rule of thumb – For every 50 Ton of clamping force you require 2.5 kW cooling capacity 

        So: a 250 Ton injection moulding machine requires a 12.5 kW chiller.

        What is the lead time your process chillers?

        We stock a large range of standard chillers for next day delivery. Special or bespoke are 4-5 weeks lead time from Italy.

        What manufacturer is your cooling chillers?

        Our range is manufactured by Chiller Frigoriferi – CF Chiller a premium manufacturer.

        What type of glycol do I need?

        If your chilled water can be in contact with food product or consumer products then use mono propylene glycol (M.P.G). For standard applications Mono Ethelyne Glycol (M.E.G) can be used.

        How much glycol do I need?

        We recommend a minimum of 25 % volume to ensure that the inhibitors function. Our technical team can calculate this if you can provide an estimate of pipe length and confirm pipe diameter.

        What’s the difference between ZCF and ZCX chiller range

        Our ZCF process chiller contains a plate heat exchanger and inbuilt water filter to clean and protect your water system. Our ZCX has all the components of ZCF with upgraded enhanced coaxial heat exchanger for harsh environments.

        Can the chillers be located outside?

        Yes; all our chillers are IP 54 rated and are suitable for external applications.
